Tournament Formats
Any group of 20 players or more is considered a tournament/corporate event and is subject to the policies and guidelines laid out in this planner.
|
Tee Times
Events up to 120 players are usually booked as tee times. Intervals alternate between seven and eight-minute intervals for the same eight tee times every hour. For example: :00, :07, :15, :22, :30, :37, :45, and :52
Requirements & Restrictions: Tee time events can be any size and may book seven days a week. Draws are restricted to a maximum of four players per group or tee time.
|
Crossovers
This format allows an event to start at scheduled tee times on both the front and back nines for a period of up to two hours. A crossover is generally held early in the morning as the back nine must be clear to use for starting. The advantage of a crossover is the ability to get all players on and off the course in half the time of straight scheduled tee times.
Requirements & Restrictions: Due to the disruption of regular green fee traffic prior to the crossover, a crossover is a rare starting format used only when regular play is minimal and will not be disrupted. A minimum of 72 players is required to schedule a crossover, while the maximum number of players cannot exceed 120. Early morning tee times are required. Draws are restricted to a maximum of four players per group or tee time. Crossover requests may be refused according to date and time.
Shotgun Starts
A shotgun start refers to a method of starting in which every golfer begins at the same time but on the different holes throughout the course. This is a great format for very large tournaments that wish to have all players start and finish at the same time. The obvious benefit is in finishing together and the ability to schedule transportation, banquets, and social activities accordingly.
Requirements and Restrictions: The shotgun start format requires the closure of the course at least five hours in advance to make room for all players. Depending on the starting time, public play is severely limited on a day in which a shotgun start is scheduled. Therefore, this format is only available Monday-Thursday excluding holidays. A minimum of 124 paid fees with cart is required. For events over the 124 minimum players, additional per player charges apply to a maximum of 144. With approval of Perdue Oasis, group sizes may exceed four players. In such cases the tournament coordinator accepts all responsibility for pace of play. All shotgun start requests are subject to facility approval and may be refused according to date and time.

Responsibility of the Tournament Organizer
- 1. Organize every detail as soon as possible. The more time you spend in advance, the more we can assist you with the details. We understand the difficulties involved in organizing and are willing to help wherever needed.
- 2. Ensure an appropriate commitment from your players in advance keeping in mind the two week payment deadline. Your decisions will be easier to make when you have this kind of commitment from your players.
- 3. Schedule at least one experienced golfer in every foursome. This will allow novice players a chance to learn the etiquette and pace of play, and ensure enjoyment for the rest of your group. Your event is very important to us but your group may not be our only customers that day, and our goal is to provide an enjoyable experience for all.
- 4. Provide a list of your players or Tournament Draw to the Golf Shop at least 48 hours in advance. That way we can be prepared for your players and provide personalized service.
- 5. Please advise your players of our rules and regulations including our alcohol policy. By law alcohol that is not purchased from Perdue Oasis cannot be consumed on the property. Our dress code requires shirts to be worn at all times, and we are a soft spike facility.
- 6. As the event organizer you should plan on arriving at least 30 minutes in advance of the first scheduled tee time, and check with the pro shop for new information regarding your event. Ask each of your players to check-in at least 15 minutes prior to their own tee time.

- 5. Cancellations made in whole or in part inside the deadline will not be refunded unless the unused tee times are otherwise recovered.
